Venture was proud to spearhead a GoFundMe campaign for our residents in need. As owners of apartment buildings throughout Greater Cincinnati, we were certainly on the front lines of the economic impact from the COVID-19 pandemic.
As you all may know, due to the difficult but necessary closure of businesses resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic there has been substantial job loss for a large percentage of the population. This job loss has resulted in terrible financial strife for many, including some of our residents at our Venture Communities.
More than 2500 people call a Venture Community home, and we were aware that some of our residents were struggling financially as a result of these unprecedented events. While we worked diligently to assist our impacted residents with rent and payment plans, there are many that needed far more support than simple rent solutions. Even in our small community, we were already starting to witness not only job loss, but an inability to provide for basic necessities like food and clothing. This is unacceptable.
As such, Venture decided to start a GoFundMe campaign to help our residents who were most in need. We were able to aid any members of our community that may be in dire situations, whether it be money for food, gas or any other of the bare necessities. Thankfully, with the help of our friends, family and investors, we were able to build a $15,000+ fund to help those in need.
We have already assisted dozens of individuals that were in very difficult situations and look forward to continuing that support as we emerge from this crisis.
Thanks to all of you that contributed to this wonderful campaign.
